I had a hopeless crush on Phil Everly when I was all of 11. And so I bought I every Everly Brothers album I could get my hands on. No small feat given that I earned my money baby sitting. When I discovered "Songs Our Daddy Taught Us", I was hooked on folk music forever. Still play it - LP and tapes. Still tear up over "Put My little Shoes Away".

They tried to sing a few from the album at their reunion concert but realized very quickly that they were losing their audience. "Bye Bye Love" got a standing ovation. Oh well.
