Yes, there is nothing more motivated and determined than a Dachshund who has gone 10 or 15 feet down a badger hole in pursuit of its elusive and outraged occupant. You can hear their barking echoing hollowly up from the subterranean regions as they yell, "You're doomed, badger! Doomed, I tell you! DOOMED!"

Badgers just hate that. ;-)

Nigel is a really cute name for a Dachshund, even if it isn't   German.

I've known Dachshunds named Rudy, Oscar, Frisky, Wrinkles, Valdy, Rennie, Arnot, Ernie, Fritz, and Brassy.
