The rain has arrived. Plenty.

And I have three squidges cooking - a vegan one, a pork one and a beef one. The pachadi (hot pepper sauce) is putting up a fight and I really need a more effective "device for the comminution of food".

The fancy dress party last night was quite a giggle, but a distaff person telephoned at quarter to ten and by the time the conversation was over it was ten to eleven so I had to rush to the pub without changing into gangster clothes. There were two young persons of gender who had done quite effective "Gangster's Moll" costumes.

Several (male) persons had grown thin moustaches for the occasion and Peter the karaoke king looked the spitting image of Arther Daley in his early role as handyman at St Trinians (the original films of them).

There was some truly agonising karaoke and I got pressed to sing (very flattering) and managed not entirely to murder "Roll Over Beethoven".

Must have a shower, feed Benjamin dog, put throw on armchair the cushion covers of which are in the wash, light fire, hoover and tidy.
