check out 'La Bottine Souriante', Monsieur Lambert, Le Vent du Nord, for a start.. hopefully they'll be playing when you're there, if not there will definitely be other things happening.. you can always find a 'chansonier' in some bistro dans le vieux Montreal, or Quebec City..
