I agree. Absolute self disipline. You must be on top of the paperwork at all times and know your cashflow position at the end of every day.
Personally, if I were to go back to self-employment it would be in a strictly cash business. Credit customers are an absolute pain; mine were estate agents, ie, members of the criminal fraternity. Biggest mistake I ever made.
