As to the English judge, I can't abide the man at all wherever I see him. But his manner isn't unpleasant he's just curious. It might be a cultural thing. By way of comparison as an English person used to a typically more minimal presentation style than what seems the norm to an American audience, I find American interviewers often too sickly sychophantic and affected with big fake plastic smiles and stuff. But I wouldn't mind betting that the show got an English judge on to be the nasty bad man! Every TV panel like that has one, it's total pantomime. As is the Hoff's tired clowning.
