I have an ongoing set of poems, which I call the "Wimmins' Sowing Circle." Some of you may have heard me read the original in HearMe, once or twice. My goal is to write a poem for each of the women who have meant so much to me, throughout my life. With each new poem added, the Sowing Circle grows. They are not something that comes to me on demand. I get struck, at the oddest moments, and there it is. Anyway, I *received* a new one the other day. I won't name it until I have permission from the one I wrote it for, who is unavailable at the moment.

It is good, this thing between us,
This friendship of souls and spirit
A recognition of our highest selves
A sharing of our joys and sorrows
A mingling of our love, respect, and honour
A ready invitation to always be aware, alive, and
reaching out to one another and reaching within to
Share the knowledge, the pain, the love, the wisdom
It is good, this thing between us,
Through us, around us,
This friendship, this sisterhood
And, I am gratefull.
