We called in an interesting bar on Friday evening - Cheers in Crumpsall, next to Heaton Park. They have live music every Friday and Saturday, and quite often it has folk content e.g. this coming Friday it's a folk rock band (John Bilek) as it's coming up to St Pat's Night; then at the end of April Dom Collins is appearing there. There are othere "folkies" in between but I can't remember who they are, sorry!
