Here's a silly old woman sitting on the ground on her butt with blood all over her face and hands. The local garage guy walks over (now he is considered the local crank but he and I chat every night as I leave work) looks down very concerned and says "At first I thought it was a circus act but I guess you're hurt." Everybody stopped and looked at him in disbelief. I just laughed as he helped me up. First time any of them have heard him speak and of course he comes out with a bizarre comment.

I love you dearly, Maeve, and hate that the fire happened to you. Hang in there. It will get better. In some ways it is getting better.
