Also true.   BUT! The two statements have nothing to do with each other.

The Greenland colony occupied a tiny strip at the south end of the west coast of Greenland, which was not glacier-covered and was farmable, after a fashion. And yes, ninety percent (give or take; I'll accept that figure arguendo) of Greenland is NOW glacier covered, but at that time most of Greenland was glacier-covered then, too.
