The Stag is a good pub for music and quite often there is an inpromptu sing around there. Quite often on the Sunday evening there is a session in the bar at the White Rock Hotel near the pier. Monday is all about the Jack - it starts off with him being released from the Fisherman's museum down at the Stade. There is then a procession through the streets of the Old Town with the Jack and his party and all the Morris sides that attend the festival. They all go on up to the Castle where each Morris side performs on a stage and the afternoon culminates in the slaying of the Jack at around 3.30pm. If it is a nice day it is glorious - there are various craft stalls and food and drink are available. However, if the weather is looking a bit dodgy wrap up warm as it gets windy up on the West Hill.
