Thread Name: Folk For Sail - gig for cancer research
Subject: Folk For Sail - gig for cancer research
On Sat and Sun 10-11 April, there'll be a folk shindig taking place on the Lis, a boat moored on the Thames near Kew bridge.

It'll be a mixture of a house gig, a boat party and a folk night, as the boat is a decommissioned Polish icebreaker that has been converted into an eco-friendly four-bedroom houseboat. All sets will be entirely acoustic.

Mix of up'n'coming young folkies and singer-songwriter type stuff. Probably most of interest to Mudcatters will be Sam Lee (he of the Magpie's Nest), Olivia Chaney and Emily Barker. I'm also playing too by the way - I'll try to make my set nautical/boat-related. Maybe throw in some Thames songs...

It's all in aid of cancer research and they are only asking three pounds donation. (though I'm sure they'd be happy if you felt like giving more...)
