Playing in front of the big cathedral in the centre of Prague in 1990. It was the night of the coup in Moscow, although I did not hear about it until the following day. I had a huge crowd and I got them singing all sorts of nonsense, but the most fun was getting them to sing the Beatles "Back in the USSR" along with all the harmonies and aeroplane noises too. I made loot in several different currencies and over twelve hundred Czech Crowns, which I never spent. My son has the tin of money now. I was told at the time that a Czech worker earned ca.2,000 in a month. The actual money meant less to me, but boy was the show fun!
