Our session was very like that, only the sopranos were better.

Cwm (coom = valley) Rhondda is the name of the tune. At gymanfas we call the songs by the name of the tune, not by the lyrics.

It is interesting to note that in Wales, as in America, people stoutly sing 'Strong Deliver' while the text insists its 'Strong Deliverer.' Grammar goes out the window in favor of singability.
