Marie Little
is an acclaimed performer, drawing her extensive repertoire from many genres, including Folk, Country and Music Hall.
Her songs can be sad or thought-provoking one minute, and have you howling with laughter the next.
She has a natural ability for knowing when to 'lift' her audience, and her warm personality and natural Northern wit add to her charm.
•        Marie Little is a native of Salford and now lives in the North East of England. She has been around the folk scene for many years and has appeared at clubs and festivals all over the UK and Europe. A well-respected figure on the folk scene, her CV includes a number of albums as well as TV, radio and Festival appearances.

•        Although Marie has had other commitments over the years; raising her family, running a pub, taking a degree and being involved with community arts and art therapy, she has continued to develop her wide range of music. Her material ranges from industrial and contemporary songs of social significance, through to music hall and country music, all of which have her unique stamp of quality.

•        Marie has never lost her old Salford chat and earthiness. This, along with her warm personality and choice of good quality songs delivered in a relaxed manner, has made her both popular and a must for folk calendars everywhere.

Cara
The band, based in North Lincolnshire, have been writing and performing traditional and original celtic-inspired music since 2001 when a set of chance encounters led them to appreciate the potential of working together.
Mike met John at a music session in Goxhill, North Lincolnshire and they quickly struck up a partnership based, initially, on a fascination with the potential of the uilleann pipes and guitar played together. At a later point a much-heralded talent from down the road came to their attention, Oakley was his name. Having carefully considered his merits, John and Mike decided that the duo should become a trio and Oakley agreed.

The band perform and record their music as a labour of love. Whilst drawing on traditional music many of their songs and tunes are original pieces of work, composed by Oakley and Mike Ryan and arranged by John Rawlings.

The trio make up CARA and together have released four CDs 'Asleep Behind The Settee' in May 2002, 'The Notes In The Stones' in August 2003, 'Long Forgotten' in August 2004 and having taken a year off from recording in August 2006 they once again headed across the water to Ireland to record their fourth CD 'The Granary Steps'.

They are very big favourites at Faldingworth and are making a very welcome return.

It should be a wonderful evening not to be missed, full of excellent music and humour.
