#Clan vair Care any on# is how I was told to say it..... the Ll sound is the one that most non-welsh speakers find hardest to do. It is a sort of soft cl from the sides of the tongue, rather than the top of it hitting the back of your mouth. Have the tip of your tongue at the back of your top front teeth, that should do it.... A single f is prounounced v, f is written ff. Caer is debatable. One school says it should be care, the other Cayer. You choose - it means (I think?) castle.

You could always go and visit Splot. That's in Cardiff. Or Sketty - that's Swansea. Ah, the romance of Splot....
