Mick Ryan has written an excellent song, The Land of Cockayne, about being surrounded by more food than we can eat; he contrasts our ancestors' dream that it would be heaven with the reality of today. He doesn't mention obesity but he does mention the horrors of excessive choice. The song is on his CD with Paul Downes 'Grand Conversation'.
