No - I live in Kinvara, near Galway - which is almost as beautiful and has more music! ;>)

I know the Baltimore area well because for many years ('80's to early 90's) I spent a fortnight there most summers, teaching sailing. It really is a beautiful corner of Ireland - perhaps best explored on a bicycle or in a small boat.

Try to get to Castletownshend, BTW - it's near Lough Hyne, mentioned earlier. A very attractive village with a nice pub and a wonderful (Anglican) church. I don't normally recommend churches to people but this one is particularly special - especially if you're a fan of Edgar Allan Poe!
