There was an Irish band called Deanta, now defunct I believe. Their lead singer, Mary Dillon, could make you weak at the knees. Her rendition of "Lone Shanakyle" captured the desolation and fury of the great Irish famine, with "bodies lying pile upon pile"..unforgettable voice.
