I'm a great lover of the voices of June Tabor and Maddy Prior , but how Barbara Dickson and Isla St Clare have been missed from this thread is completely beyond me.I think there should also be room for Rosie Hardman.

To hear Barbara Dickson or Maddy sing - without PA /microphones have been the most musically pleasurable in my life.

For those who migh associate these ladies with main stream entertainment I would remind or remark that all four ladies are wonderful exponents of British Traditional Song and music.
