Thread Name: Anyone for trad singing in Bristol UK?
Subject: RE: Anyone for trad singing in Bristol UK?
An intermediate update on this:

We now have quite a few people interested, enough to set up a first meeting. Judy and I met tonight, and clarified that the new group will:
- have a first meeting in early May (date to be confirmed)
- meet probably fortnightly initially, on Wednesdays or Thursdays
- be a peer group, not led by anyone
- be for unaccompanied song only, no instruments
- not be a singing group or choir (though splinter groups might happen)
- have a strong focus on traditional song/songs rooted in these islands

This week we're going to search for a venue, which is likely to be a separate room above a pub somewhere fairly central. Anyone got any suggestions for this?

Once we have a venue, we'll set the date and get back to everyone here (and elsewhere).

Cheers
