Agree with the last bit, Mike. Life on Mars was far better. I love Doctor Who though. But if you take individual episodes from the Christopher Eccleston (good Salford lad btw) incarnation onwards you may miss a lot. It all sort of gelled and we started to see the full scope of the plot part way through Tennants tenure. Like Morse/Frost etc - It is much more enjoyable when you get the big picture. And I don't mean 42" LCD...
