Thank you TtC. No, indeed, I don't believe all I read ~~ esp with regard to folklore versions. But I certainly recall a vinyl record with this on it as a track by Bob & Ron Copper, in which they certainly sang the "Someone [or somebody] shouted 'MacIntyre" version which has always mystified me ~~ whence topic of this thread, whose title has been recently altered for reasons unclear to me ~~ WHY, Joe?
