Isn't there a morris dance tradition involving cake. I remember the local morris team passing around cake at some festival and informing me that it was good luck for a year to eat it. So, I did. A week later my cat died. (He was almost 18, but still.) Within the year, my boyfriend was diagnosed with a tumor, and the day after he told me it was benign, my dad died. So I'm not so sure about that cake. Sian's cake is glorious!
