Subject: RE: The Woods 2000
Just for those who might not know. Several years ago I had become totally disgusted with the music business...every aspect, from dealing with agents, to playing for (high class) drunks in supposedly posh hotels, working paycheck to paycheck (I couldn't save a dime even though I was making good bucks) and in general, feeling that my music had no value other than in a "job" sense.

Judith Laskin heard me on a CBC radio show, and Grit hired me to play and teach at "The Woods". During those four days my life changed 360 degrees. I met so many wonderful people who LOVED folk music as much as I did, and all my teenage enthusiasm came back like a tidal wave! I met Sandy and Caroline Paton who asked me to sign with Folk-Legacy Records, and started my regular touring jaunts to New England. The last 8 years of my life have been so rewarding, I don't really have the words to describe it.

Thank you "Woods"!
