Not embarrassing but weird

On 2 occasions I found diamond rings immediately upon being told the were lost.

Grandmother in law. She had been worrying over them for weeks. As soon as she told me, I went to her coat closet and started checking all the pockets of her coats. They were in the second pocket of the first coat I checked. Pinned inside with a yellow ducky diaper pin.

Ended up inheriting those rings and couldn't find them. I gave up after turning house upside down.   3 or 4 months after she passed away the hospital rang to say her luggage and clothes were still there. i almost told them to send to charity, then decided I had better wash the clothes first. Rings were pinned inside her rob pocket.

Next time I was cleaning houses and owner left not on counter - please do not vacuum as I have lost my diamond engagement ring. I went straight to her closet and found it on the floor under her clothes. I just knew she had caught on clothes as she was looking for something to wear.

I lost my own engagement ring shortly after that and never found it again. I only wore it to church so think it must have fallen off there.

Shortly after moving to UK I lost the replacement engagement ring and the rings I inherited. Lost for over 6 years. Found in the concertina file I had checked a dozen times before for them. Now they are with my daughter and I don;t have to worry about them any more4.
