Incidentally the flyer that arrived today for the Lib-Dems in the new Rochester and Strood constituency, which even if the admirable Bob Marshall-Andrwes had not retired would on the last election's stats have been slightly conservative (it's the nice country hice new rural bits wot causes that) asserts that the LDs are statistically (on current swings) likely to take the seat. Regrettably it's a set of poor candidates.
