A warning that someone may do something in the future cannot be a lie, strictly speaking, unless there something has already occurred which means that it is impossible for them to do that. That's not a matter of political opinion, it's a matter of elementary logic.

Speculations about the possible actions of a future government, or about the consequences of those actions, are a normal part of the political process. So are complaints about such speculations. All parties go in for both.
