Hi Dennis - John Tams is one of my folk heroes and you will definitely enjoy his performance. Tom has posted his current thoughts on performance on his blog on MySpace - he is working with two other excellent musicians Phil Cockerham and Dave Bowie - not seen them together yet but can't wait! His return (even if temporary or sporadic) is the best news I've had for some time!
