I think we also have to look at the factor of anger..anger at being stuck in some dirty, run-down orphanage with sickly, unhappy children perhaps...anger at somehow being browbeaten into a vocation that was not really yours...anger at having to deal with adolescents all day long...at being deprived of much adult company..certainly that of women.
