As I remember, Bush crawled around looking for weapons of mass destruction that weren't there. He looked like a bigger jackass than usual.
Obama just offered a variant on the "Get near my daughter and I'll kill you," that is probably older than dirt. My father never used it, but my mother certainly did. Lacking access to drones, she simply mentioned that she was a dead shot with a pistol, without mentioning that she didn't own one.
