I've done a search and turned up only one thread on DVD format conversion, but the info there, while providing potentially useful hints, did not seem directly relevant.

A magician friend of mine has recorded some of his performances and burned them to DVD directly from the camera, but the resulting disc plays only on a computer, not in the home entertainment DVD player which is part of the living-room TV set-up. Is there an obvious beginner's blunder in play here? Is there a free download which would provide an easy fix?
