I was at University in Hull from 1971 to 1974; and although I never went to the Rugby Hotel Folk Club I did see Ewan McCall and Peggy Seeger at the Ferrands Arms Folk Club in Bingley about that time. I know they appeared in local folk clubs because as avowed Communists they believed in the Working Class people!

Once Jon Rennard was killed I lost interest in folk - it just wasn't as good any more! However, I do remember going to a great 'Gasworks' gig in Hull - 'verabilise your pre-orgasmic tensions', etc.

And I still treasure my Get Stuffed Party Poster from the Students' Union to which some wag had added - 'Next year, the whole world can Get Stuffed!'

Treasured memories indeed.
