Finally decided to learn this song for my guitar playing forrays (I've always loved it).

Until today, I always thought it was "asleep before Joe"... I guess I thought "Joe" was resentful that John got more sleep than he did or something. :-)

Never would have guessed "Sleepy Bull Toad" ... not a term I've ever heard. But it works.

Also "It's starring me and in my sweet dream" ... that's what I'd always heard. But yesterday I was wondering a little if it might've been "Just her and me in my sweet dream", which would jive better with the next line ... but really it does sound much more like "It's starring me in my sweet dream" ... although I did see here where it was interpreted "It's starring me AND my sweet dream" - which also jives with the next line. Probably correct.
