Shall I call out your name, that you might hear
My supplications? I might place my heart
Upon the alter of my words, but fear
That might not be enough to invoke Art.
Shall I ask for your blessing, when the night
Is cloudy? Starless darkness fills my soul
With longing. Shall I dare of desires write?
I would not hope to your concern control.
Am I foolish, now, for caring, or a fool
For seeing you as muse? I hope to find
Some focus: I dare not let my dreams rule.
Yet, I would hold your hand, if you'd not mind.
I do not know you well enough, yet know
I care too much to risk you'd bid me go.
