The beavers played hell with trees on our North Saskatchewan River Lot (originally surveyed by HBC for Country and Metis, a quarter section with narrow frontage on the river but extending one mile back from it). The couple who bought it from us encouraged a trapper, but I was too soft-hearted.

The raven is the bird of the Crows Nest Pass, southern Alberta and British Columbia.
