There are two prequels to Lonesome Dove: Deadman's Walk and Comache Moon. And two sequels: Return to Lonesome Dove - although as that was not written by Larry McMurtry some say it doesn't count - and Streets of Laredo. Different actors play Gus and Woodrow in this series. Also they were not written in sequential order.
