Mother's Day always meant a nice meal in, sometimes out,and planting lots of annuals with our mom. The annuals tradition continues as my kids and/or grandkid always give me pansies, marigolds, and violas, the Morgan the Grandson helps me plant them. This year my son bought me a beautiful Rubrum Lily and my brother bought me deep purple butterfly bush, both of which my son planted for me. My daughter back East sent me a beautiful card and emailed snapshots of herself with my identical twin grandsons, Elijah and Akira, who will be 12 this month! All in all, it's been a pretty good day.
I couldn't watch the video...too sad...still miss my mom and have too much other stuff going on to be strong enough to watch it for now. Beautiful sentiments, though.
My dad and mom's ranching families always had apples and popcorn with oranges at Christmas, if they were lucky enough to get some in the general store that my granddad managed.
