A great, great, talent..............and a great lady. A nice obit that doesn't do her justice.   When Lena Horne did a song, it was completely done.

And talk about a beauty for the ages, she had have wonderful spirit and inner beauty with an outer beauty that seemed to never age......a tough combination to beat when combined with her talent and intelligence. I remember too a Lenny Bruce bit where he asks the racist guy, "Okay.....You can have a white, white woman, or a black, black woman.   The white woman is Kate Smith and the black woman is Lena Horne.....Now choose."

Some people die and I say, "Oh yeah.....What a shame" but I don't really think much beyond that. Some others die and I know that some small piece of my world went with them. Lena Horne takes a piece of my world away but it was sure great to have her here.
