I saw John Prine live many years ago...he is one who I think may become 'folk' one of these times.(yes, I know,I am slow to admit stuff , even when I like & sing it)."Paradise" (in the database) is already being learned thru oral tradition...(a friend & I drove thru the area of Muhlenberg County mentioned over 20 years ago, and photographed the song...all the elements in it we could find--coal trains, signs, broken bottles, the cooling towers of the power plant, and the leaning outhouse that was all that was left at the town site.)

I'd like to do the same with Jean Ritchie's "Black Waters" some day....helping IT on its way to becoming folk/trad.
