I was sworn to secrecy over this, but I think the tale can, finally be told.

The father of historian David McCullough was one of my mother's beaux. He and mom were sitting on the sofa one night at mom's home in Edgewood. He decided to get romantic, and tried to put his arm around her. Loki, the family dachshund, crawled into his lap and crawled up his chest. That's pretty much how the evening went. He'd try to get romantic, and the chaperone would interfere. Hax McCullough married somebody else, and Mom married a handsome lawer.
