I don't know what MRDD is, but if it has anything to do with autism, you might want to read (if you haven't already), a book by a woman named Temple Grandin. She is a woman with autism who has a Phd, and she explains in very easy to understand language what her world is like. I can't remember the name of her book, but if you look for it under "Author", you'll find it eventually.
