I recall hearing a singer/songwriter do a song with the line

"It's not true love till you paint it on a rock, paint it on a rock"

in the late eighties or early nineties. It was written after a trip through northern Ontario and seeing all the declarations of love painted on the rock cuts at the sides of the road. Does this bring back any memories? Can anyone tell me who this singer/songwriter was?
