I am not mage, to offer spell, and hold
Another's will, though I may study past.
But all I know does not make me so bold
To think I might another's actions cast
I am not warrior, that I'd storm your heart
To find what I desire. I seek to know
What path you'd have me take, that I might start
To find those feelings you might care to show.
I am not merchant, that I might heart sell,
Or offer in trade for some gem. I give
Without a price, though I might wish you'd tell
How you feel, that I'd know if dreams might live.
I am poet possessed, by thought of muse,
Yet would not ever wish to spirit lose.
