Thanks for the info Gnomad. I didn't think a bike would be much use! It sounds like it'll be ok though.

I'll be allright if I only have to get down the hill once, spend the day down near the quayside and then climb the hill at the end of the day. What was worrying me is if I have to go here, there and everywhere during the day.
