Well....maybe because a few items from Nova Scotia are repackaged and sold as product of Maine. One such example is Nova Scotia caught lobsters...they move accross the border and are rebranded "Maine lobsters". For some odd reason these crustaceans fetch a higher price in the marketplace if branded as such:) On the other hand, inferior Maine lobsters (and, believe it or not, there are a large number) are shipped to Canada, cooked and the meat removed and canned (mostly the frozen 11.3 oz cans), as product of Canada.
