It's slow coming on to Spring up thar, isn't it, Ebbie?:-)

My perennials have been blooming one after another as they are want to do for the past month or so and look so beautiful. I love the delicate stalks of Flax and the blooms of an incredible blue; I have a beautiful Columbine blooming and my annuals in pots are all doing well. We've had mostly comfie day temps in the 70s and coolish nights in the 50s, BUT did have a couple of days over 80 (yuck!) and nights of 60s (not cool enough!) Pretty soon it will all be to darn hot and I will be so glad of the evaporative cooler.

We have also had dry winds the past few days 20-30mph with gusts from 40-60mph. The whole valley looks like a dust bowl with the mountains only dim outlines through the fog of dirt. Eyes itchy, noses running...rain maybe in a day or two, we hope.

That's the way it is in the Banana Belt of Western Colorado.
