I've been living in the northeast Piedmont of North Carolina for 24 years now, and still haven't figured out what is typical weather. Late July and August are pretty much guaranteed to suck with heat and humidity, but little rain. The rest is a crap shoot.

Thing is, the same thing has happened back in the Kanawha Valley of West-by-god-Virginia during the quarter century I've been down here.
