The version John MacKenzie posted above is part of the Oldham Tinkers "Coalhole Medley" on the Deep Lancashire CD. I'd say it's the same song, John - and more-or-less the same melody.
The Unthanks rendition is terrific - a nice touch of humor to it. Is the Harry Boardman recording available anywhere?
