Yeah, uninstall the paid version and install the free one. I wish AVG hadn't bought into the deceptive practices of the corporate world. I used to think they were different.
You may want to try Microsoft Security Essentials, if her computer has enough power to run it. I've read really good reviews of the program, and it's free.
